Privacy Policy

What We Collect

When you use AstigmatismoFit, we process:

• Photos of your workspace (uploaded by you, deleted immediately after analysis)
• Analysis results (scores, recommendations) stored on our servers so you can access them via a permanent URL
• An anonymous user ID stored in a cookie (af_uid) and your browser's local storage to link your scans and track score improvements over time
• Basic usage analytics (page views, analysis count, user agent)
• Email address (only if you submit the contact form, ask us to email your report, or sign up for our newsletter)

How We Use Your Data

Your workspace photos are:

• Sent to OpenAI's API for AI-powered analysis
• Held only in memory on our servers during analysis — never written to disk, never stored permanently
• Subject to OpenAI's API data policy: per OpenAI, API submissions are not used to train their models and are retained for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring before being deleted from their systems

The text descriptions our AI generates from your photo (scores, summary, recommendations) are stored in our database. We do not store the AI's raw observation notes about your room or workspace contents — those are stripped before saving.

Your analysis results (scores, summary, and recommendations) are stored in our database so you can:

• Access your results via a permanent URL (survives tab close)
• Share a lightweight score card with others via a share link
• Compare scores between scans to track improvement
• Receive your report by email or download it as a PDF

Third-Party Services

We use the following trusted services:

• OpenAI: For AI-powered workspace image analysis
• Vercel: For hosting and infrastructure
• Supabase: For storing analysis results and anonymous usage analytics
• Resend: For delivering email reports (only when you request one)
• Upstash Redis: For rate limiting to prevent abuse

These services have their own privacy policies and data processing agreements.

Data Retention

• Workspace photos: Deleted immediately after analysis
• Analysis results: Stored in our database with a permanent URL. No personal identifiers are attached — only an anonymous user ID
• Share tokens: Created when you share your results. Contain no personal data
• Email addresses: Stored only if you contact us, request an email report, or sign up for our newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email we send
• Cookies: A single anonymous tracking cookie (af_uid) to link your scans. No third-party tracking cookies
• Usage analytics: Retained for 90 days

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Delete your data yourself at /delete-data — remove all analyses tied to this device, or request deletion of email-related data
• Ask what data we have about you (email privacy@astigmatismofit.com)
• Unsubscribe from any email at any time using the link in every message
• Opt out of analytics by using a browser with tracking protection enabled

We Never

• Sell your data to third parties
• Store your photos permanently
• Share your information for marketing purposes
